Producer

After completing a Communications degree at UTS, Gina began her career as a script-writer with Television Makers in 1988. Five years later she graduated in producing from Australian Film Television and Radio School.

Throughout the 1990s Gina worked for Film Australia over-seeing the production of over 40 documentaries made by some of Australia’s finest creative directors, cinematographers, editors  and producers. She left Film Australia to form her own production company, Luminous Films.

As an independent she has produced a range of drama and documentary projects. Her work has been broadcast and shown at festivals around the world, and has been nominated for a range of awards, including the Dendy EAC Award (for Your Turn, Sydney International Film Festival, winner 1999), IF Award Best Documentary (Flour, Sugar, Tea nominee 2007), International Wildlife Film Festival Montana USA 2009 (for Feral Peril, Magic Real Picture Co., winner Best Narration, Merit Awards for Editing and Script), winner Audience Award, Revolve Festival North Carolina 2009 (for Chasing Birds). 

As documentary producer her credits include Our Drowned Town,  Steel City (co-producer),  Flour, Sugar, Tea,  Chasing Birds,  The Long Goodbye,  Feral Peril.
