Naked on the Inside comes at a time when the Western world has never been more obsessed with body image. This fresh and unnerving feature-length documentary asks a simple, but audacious, question: Beyond our clothes and skin, who are we? And so it begins. Five extra-ordinary people from around the world reveal their bodies and share their secrets in a unique experiment in search of their inner selves.

On the streets of East LA, the gangland tattoos of a convicted killer brand him to his past, making him a target for rival gangs. In Queensland, Australia, a mother fights the breast cancer she believes she manifested by harboring a secret affair. In Marin County, USA, a supermodel struggles to maintain bodily perfection while in San Francisco, a 350-pound “fat activist” comes out…big, loud and proud. And, in the UK, a dancer with no legs falls head over heels in love for the very first time.

Superficially, they share nothing in common, but profound connections arise as each character creates an intimate series of clothed and naked portraits before the camera. Ultimately, naked on the inside is a meditation on the soul…bold, heartfelt, and quite unlike anything you’ve seen before.
